Jersey Sea Salt is Rich in Trace Minerals.
Jersey Sea Salt produces natural unrefined sea salt harvested ecologically from the pristine waters of the Channel Islands, dried without artificial heat and free from chemical additives.
Jersey Sea Salt is a solar evaporated sea salt and thus the only energy used in producing our salt comes from the sun. We aim to have a positive impact on the environment and on the taste buds.
Moisture is inherently present in sea salt and if forcibly removed, as in processed salts, by boiling or kiln-drying, the first essential elements to dissipate are magnesium salts. All other vitally important trace elements will follow. The benefits of Jersey Sea Salt is that the salt is harvested by hand and is solar dried thus maintaining the important trace elements and minerals found in solar salt.
Our natural sea salt has distinct characteristics such as its colour, it retains its moisture and forms very precise cubic crystals and has a high mineral content.
Jersey Sea Salt has a strong crunch and dissolves quickly, resulting in a burst of clean flavour with each bite.
High-quality, unrefined sea salts typically contain a minimum of 60 trace minerals. The minerals it contains include Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc and Iodine, which are all beneficial for a healthy diet.
Due to the mineral rich waters of Jersey and the process in creating Jersey Sea Salt, the results are an unrefined, organic sea salt rich in beneficial minerals.
